It’s cold out, so I’m hunkering down in my warm office drinking a hot coffee trying to GET SHIT DONE! First on my list – to remind all you folks about the Valentine’s Day deadline. Of course I’m late on my reminder, so anyone outside of Western Canada has already missed their deadline… (in my defense I posted about it on Facebook and Instagram (a good reason to follow me on either or both)). So for you in BC and Alberta – check out all the Love and Valentine’s Day cards and order by February 6th!
In other news, I was in Toronto last week for a wholesale show and I landed a bunch of new accounts! That means by early next month and into April you’ll be finding my cards in some new shops across Canada! Yippee! If you’re one of those buyers that stopped by the show and checked out my cards – thank you – it was a pleasure to meet you and just a friendly reminder to email me for that wholesale access!
Finally, the Taboo Show is happening this weekend and sadly I ran out of time and energy and will not be taking part! I will however be back in Toronto at the end of March for the Spring One of a Kind Show!
I just want to take a quick minute to thank all the wonderful customers that came by my booth at the One of a Kind Show in Toronto last week! It’s such a wonderful experience to be able to travel across the country and sell my products to like-minded individuals (ya know, us folks with a warped sense of humour). Some of you folks have been visiting my booth since my first time at the show (back in 2010) and it warms my cold-dark heart to see your smiling faces year after year! If you haven’t already marked your calendars, I will be back in Toronto for the One of a Kind Spring Show (March 27-31).
Now, for you folks in Vancouver, I’ll be seeing you in just a few days! Make It returns to the PNE Forum December 12 – 16th and I’ll be there with some of my newest Christmas cards (and the oldies but goodies). If you plan on attending Make It, you can buy your tickets here for just $4/each! Or you can show this coupon at the door to save $2 off your ticket…
Hi Friends! If you're a regular visitor here (or you follow us on social media), then you might have noticed that I've been a little quiet lately. Apologies for that! Well, I'm not really sorry… I was on a much needed vacation to Disneyland (and who on Earth would apologize for that?!) Anyways, after my hectic February/March/early April, the trip was much-needed and I feel refreshed and ready to get back to work!
Soooo, while I was in Toronto for the One of a Kind Show I collected email addresses for my mailing list. If you signed up, but didn't receive an email yesterday (April 23rd), please be in touch… Sometimes it's hard for me to decipher other people's handwriting, so I may have signed you up with an incorrect email address. For those of you that weren't at the show in Toronto and aren't on the list, please let me know if you'd like to sign up! There's currently no link to do it yourself (I need my web people to help with that), but I can certainly add you manually! (You get emails about contests and sales and shit).
Just a reminder that you might want to take this opportunity to buy a Mother's Day card for the moms in your life! It doesn't have to be your mom… It can be your wife or baby-mama or your mother-in-law or step-mom. Mother's Day is May 13th and our deadline for Mother's Day orders is May 7th (for Canada) and April 25th (for international).
Anyways, that's it. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm alive and well.
Valentine's Day has come and gone and I'm finally settling back into my normal work routine… Creasing, folding and cutting cards for the masses! Earlier this month my husband and I spent the weekend in Vancouver at the Taboo Show. It was my first time at that particular show and it was such a warm welcome from lovely, sexy, hilarious, fun-loving people! If you've never been, the show celebrates sex, self-love and everything taboo! (So of course my cards were a perfect fit). I've never been to a show with a strict 18+ audience and it was certainly a pleasure not having to turn kids away from my booth all weekend (the half-naked customers were just an added bonus). Anyways, thanks to you of you that dropped by my booth at the show, I hope to see you again next year!
Next up on my list of Events is The One of a Kind Show in Toronto! The show lands on the Easter long weekend this year for those of you wanting to add it to your calendar (that's March 28- April 1). I've already started preparing by getting my Mother's and Father's Day cards in order.
Christmas Shows are coming! I wrapped up the Fan Expo Vancouver just over a week ago and next up is Toronto's One of a Kind Show! I haven't been at this show since 2013 (well, actually I was at home with a newborn, so I had people do the show for me), so it's really exciting to be going back! If you're in the area, please note that we are only exhibiting for the LAST 6 DAYS! So don't go within the first five days expecting me to be there. I'll be at home. In BC. Watching it rain. For those of you in the Vancouver area, once I get home from Toronto I'll be heading to Make It at the PNE Forum! Let's hope we don't have that crazy snow storm we did last year. That sucked.
So, to summarize:
One of a Kind Show, Toronto November 28-December 3.
Make It, Vancouver December 7-10.
For all of you that plan on ordering online before Christmas, quick note – while I'm in Toronto (November 27-December 4), products will not be shipping out! You can certainly still order, but your order just won't be sent until December 5th. It's really not that big of a deal, it just means you'll have to wait an extra few days for your order.
FINALLY, for those of you wanting free tickets to the One of a Kind Show, check out my Instagram page for a contest tomorrow (Wednesday).
